Mason's 1st Birthday...

Here are some party and cake eating pictures. We had a quiet party as most of the kids we know have the flu or something else. So we kept it a small family party.

Mason had a great time eating his cake. He didn't know what to do with the cake a first, but then he caught on that it was edible and he was eating it by the handful. We thought he might get sick from eating too much, but he was fine. In the end he shared it with the dogs and so not only did Mason need a bath, but Riley needed one too.

Brrr, It's cold out here....

Brig and Mason stepped outside to catch snowflakes on their tongue. By morning, we had over 5 inches of snow.

CAUGHT...

Oops, Dad caught me walking around with the sissiest pacifier in my mouth, then he caught Koa trying to steal a kiss.

This is definately not my day.

SKATER BOI...

Mason got this totally awesome Hurley shirt from his mom as a pre-Valentines Day present. Mason and I have convinced Stephanie that she needs to start dressing like a skater, and now that she is wearing Hurley et al, she is decking out Mason as well. This outfit goes especially well with his Jolly Roger belt buckle and Chuch Taylors. Now if only Steph would go out of town for a couple of days, we could round out the look with a nice tasteful mohawk.

Tonight, Mason and I went out to Google Video and watched a bunch of clips from a classic Powell-Peralta video : "Ban This". Mason was lovin' it. He really liked Ray Barbee and Bucky Lasek. He liked Barbee because of his smooth lines and slick footwork. He liked Lasek for his handplant and squealed when he pulled a McTwist.

We even checked out the pictures of the Powell Peralta museum at www.Powell-Peralta.com . His favorite design was the Mike McGill classic "Skull & Snake", which was my first pro deck, nice choice.
